AUDILEUM

About the founder: Joel Cahen
Audileum was founded in 2025 by Joel Cahen, following nearly two decades of pioneering work in underwater sound. As the creator of the internationally acclaimed Wet Sounds project, Joel composed original music for underwater listening and produced more than 250 events in swimming pools around the world.

Building on the profound responses of his audiences, Joel extended his practice into hydrotherapy pools, co-founding the world’s first and only charity dedicated to providing underwater listening experiences for children with special educational needs. The heartfelt testimonials from participants highlighted the transformative and therapeutic impact of his work.

His expertise soon drew the attention of the wellness sector, leading to relaxation sessions in spa hotels. Joel has held residencies at The Well Spa and Farris Bad in Norway and continues to run a monthly residency at Senspa in Hampshire, UK.

With a background as a trained Traditional Thai Massage practitioner, Joel has long been attuned to the restorative potential of therapeutic practices. Underwater sound became a natural progression, offering a unique way to amplify the bio-acoustic, psychoacoustic, vibrational, and emotional effects of sound.

Through Audileum, Joel has developed a dedicated programme of underwater sound therapy—carefully crafted to support relaxation, restore balance, and nourish body and mind. Audileum provides spas and hydrotherapy centres with access to this expertise, enabling them to bring the powerful benefits of underwater listening to their clients.
